PROGRAMME

1st day

arrival in Augustow (location - map), bus ride

trip: Czarne (lake) – Filipów, 10 km

We paddle through the Rospuda Lake (6 km), which ends with a narrow, low tunnel covered with aquatic vegetation. Then there is small Kamienne Lake, which is winding and shallow.

2nd day

Filipów – Garbas (lake), 11 km

Very interesting section of the trip. The river is narrow and shallow, with pebbly shallows and fallen trees. Then we reach the Dlugie lake with marshy shores overgrown with reeds. The angler can catch pike, bream and perch here. 

3rd day

Garbas (lake) – Sumowo (lake), 10 km

On the route there is Głębokie lake, followed by river with fast current and sandy and pebbly shallows, sharp turns and fallen trees.

4th day

Sumowo (lake) – Male Raczki, 12 km

Next part of attractions. There are stone shallows, large boulders and quite rapid current. Then two charming lakes. At the camp fire with sausages.

5th day

Male Raczki – Swiete Miejsce, 15 km

Charming and very interesting route because of the varied nature of the river. We paddle through the heart of the Augustow Forest. The river resembles mountain river with a rapid current, fallen trees and rocky bottoms (amazing attraction!). Then the river flows quietly among the reeds. There are two unusual places to visit: the ruins of the Pac Palace in Dowspuda, the sacred place Swiete Miejsce.

6th day

Swiete Miejsce – Augustow, 17 km

The river meanders through marshy meadows surrounded by woods of the Augustow Forest. At the end the Rospuda River becomes wide and slow, the water is almost black. The surrounding forests are dark and make a little "Amazonian" impression. Finally, the river disappears and we paddle through the lake of the same name.

Additional information

• We assure safe, comfortable and new DBL kayaks "SZOT Comfort".
• Accommodation: camping on the campsite.
• Free car parking in Augustow.
• Picking up from the railway/bus station in Augustow - for free
• Minimum number of participants – 8. 
• It is possible to come earlier or extend the stay (SZOT campsite or the Lesnik Hotel** accommodation). 
• You should take: tent and carrimat (you can hire it at the office), sleeping bag (in case of camping or night in agrotouristic farm), sun-hat, swimsuit, light hiking shoes, warm clothes, raincoat and, of course, good mood!

It is also possible to organise 6-day kayaking trip through The Rospuda River for individual participants at a convenient time.
